AutoStem products were designed to blast out the hardest of rock conditions with an inherent dual stemming capability and higher energy rating than conventional explosives. Autostem can be used as a replacement of high explosives with or without explosive accessories depending on whether sequential firing (timed firing) is required. A flexible cartridge range offers a rock breaking solution for both primary and secondary blasting applications in any environment. The novel safety switch technology ensures safe transporting, storing and handling and the waterproof casing prohibits water contamination during the charging process. Due to the non detonating characteristic of the cartridge, impact or vibration on surrounding strata, property and infrastructure is low and therefore can be used in proximity.

Breaking rock with conventional high explosives has a high transportation, storage, environmental and handling risk and mitigating such risk more especially the risk of self ignition is of primary concern. The innovative AutoStem™ Technology reduces this risk exponentially bringing all round improvement in safety. Shutting down and evacuating a site for blasting is not necessary. AutoStem™ allows for a minimal clearance of only 50 meters and can also be used near to communities, infrastructure & buildings thus reducing the hazard and risk of damage to people or property.
